Yes, that was the first thing The Mayor said when he saw these German Chocolate Cupcakes -- "Wow -- those are ugly little f#%kers, aren't they?"
Then, when he tasted them, he said, "These aren't a patch on the coconut ones."
Well, great. I'm taking in ugly, not-as-good-as-the-coconut ones, cupcakes to work.
And what's worse: it now appears I have competition:
Someone ELSE is bringing in cupcakes on Monday morning -- complete with signage AND an arrow pointing to their own offerings. My ugly little f#%kers are in the pink trays WITHOUT an arrow pointing to them.
The Town Tart is speechless. I'm laughing, but I am speechless.
Even though I did make the colorful comment about the look of the "Gut&Tag" Choc cupcakes, I did also point out that they tasted GREAT -- and even had one for breakfast this morning. Just wanted to point this out in case your fans think I'm not being supportive.

See, here's your angle: The competition doesn't have cute trays, so is innocently using her *cupcake pan* to transport and display. Steal her pan -- no more competition. I'm here to help. :)

Andrea -- The Mayor suggested the very same thing! LOL! He said to find out who s/he is, hide the pan, that way s/he would have to email out "Has anyone seen my pan?"

Your photo (of the competition) cracks me up. Are they serious? Same day, same item? Need it get ugly? BTW, brownie cupcakes with a dollop of cream cheese frosting are all the rage in SF (maybe here too, but when am I ever here to know?!). They are so incredible I could eat them till I get sick (and you know I don't have a sweet tooth)... anyway, maybe dig up a recipe for that and send the competition packing!
